Jakarta, Indonesia- JGC Indonesia (President Director, Nurdin Haris) announced that JGC Indonesia has secured a Propylene Tank construction contract from PT Polytama Propindo.
PT Polytama Propindo is one of the leading petrochemical companies that continues to grow to meet the needs of Polypropylene resins in Indonesia. PT Polytama Propindo intends to increase its production capacity to 300,000 MT per year, by building a Propylene Tank (C3) in the existing area.
JGC Indonesia will be responsible for the Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning of the 2 x 1000 MT Propylene Tank (C3). 2024 delivery schedule.
Indonesia is currently aiming to become the leading petrochemical producer in ASEAN. The Indonesian government is currently encouraging investment in the chemical industry while trying to limit imports of petrochemical products such as ethylene, propylene, BTX, polyethylene and polypropylene.
As the need for chemical products continues to diversify worldwide especially in Indonesia, the JGC Group will continue to aggressively pursue orders for projects that meet client needs by leveraging its accumulated know-how in petrochemical and chemical plant construction.
