In 2011, Vietnam's government established the 7th Power Development Plan (PDP7), aiming to expand their use of renewable energy nationwide, with a target of increasing solar power generation capacity to 12,000 MW by 2030. As part of this initiative, Gia Lai Electricity Joint Stock Company, a subsidiary of the TTC Group, undertook a significant project to construct one of Vietnam's largest solar power plants in the Krong Pa District of Gia Lai Province, located in the southern central region of the country. This project was successfully executed in 2018 through a collaboration between the JGC Group and JGC Vietnam, with the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contract being awarded in the same year.
Aligned with the JGC Group's long-term management vision known as the "2040 Vision," our strategic focus for the period from 2021 to 2025 revolves around energy transition, particularly in the renewable energy sector. Using this project as a foundation, our group is actively engaged in the construction of multiple renewable energy facilities abroad, thereby contributing to the development of clean social infrastructure both within Vietnam and across the wider Asian region.
