PT Shell Manufacturing Indonesia (refers to “The Client”) intends to establish a Lube Oil Blending Plant (LOBP) to produce a range of lubricants for the Indonesia Market. The Project is known as “Project Monas”. The objective of Project Monas is to build a new 136 MLPA LOBP with expandability potential to double capacity by 2020.
The scope and design of Project Monas has adopted Lean production and push production concepts. The lean approach is enable by a relatively simple portfolio and production in high volume batches. Provision for expansion is included in the design, including space for additional base oil, additive and finished products tanks, filling lines and a second Automatic Batch Blender. Total plot size for the LOBP is 7.5 hectares.
The contract calls for the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) work in Marunda Centre, Bekasi, Northern Greater Jakarta, Indonesia, an industrial estate 9 km from the main port of Tanjung Priok.
