On September 1, 2024, JGC Indonesia demonstrated its continued commitment to environmental sustainability by organizing a Beach Clean-Up at Maluk Beach, located on the western coast of Sumbawa. The initiative is part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts aimed at addressing the pressing issue of plastic waste in the environment.

The Beach Clean-Up program was attended by 40 participants, including JGC Indonesia’s President Director, Mr. Clyde William Kaelin, alongside employees and site workers. The program’s primary objective was to reduce the amount of plastic waste accumulated along the shoreline of Maluk Beach, a popular destination known for its natural beauty but also increasingly affected by pollution.

Throughout the day, participants worked collaboratively to collect, sort, and properly dispose of plastic waste and other debris found along the beach. By the end of the event, a significant portion of the beach was cleared of litter, contributing to the preservation of the marine environment and promoting awareness about the importance of sustainable waste management practices.

JGC Indonesia remains committed to supporting initiatives that promote environmental sustainability, and this Beach Clean-Up is a testament to the company’s dedication to creating a positive impact on local communities and ecosystems. Through these efforts, JGC Indonesia hopes to inspire others to join the cause of environmental preservation for future generations
